Jamie Harrison, who organises events at the venue and has shared numerous clips, said: “The games have been electric for atmosphere, it’s like being in an arena with the big screen underneath the railway arches.

“The sound that is generated by the people of Mansfield is unbelievable so it definitely brings that bit of World Cup magic to people attending.”

The Swan has gained popularity over the years because it sets up a 5m x 4m screen in the car park whenever England play tournament football.

The venue shuts off its large car park and establishes numerous bars and a burger fan outside, creating an atmosphere for fans.

Accommodating hundreds of England fans to the pub does come with its strains, requiring a lot of staff and a big supply of alcohol.

Jamie added: “The staff work incredibly hard all of the time at The Swan and genuinely get behind all events that we put on.

“Match days have been long relentless days for the staff, people have been arriving early to get a good spot in the crowd and then staying afterwards to continue the party.

“All the staff deserve recognition for how hard they work.”

Prior to the World Cup starting, The Swan underwent a £300,000 refurbishment which saw the inside of the venue improved and the outside area extended.

The Swan will be airing England’s semi-final showdown with Croatia on Wednesday - the sixth time the big screen has been used this World Cup.

The venue will also host either the final itself on Sunday, or England’s third place play-off match, depending on the result of the Three Lions’ clash on Wednesday.
