She said: “I’m so pleased with my prize and I love this range of products which I work with regularly as a beauty therapist.

“I’m really enjoying college and for me to return to studying at 36 was a big thing.

“I have two children, so studying alongside being a mum was a huge change.

“It’s become financially more possible to come to college and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, so I just went for it and I’ve settled in really well.”

On the course, Claire has studied micro dermabrasion, massage, Indian head massage, spa treatments and facial electrotherapy services.

She has also studied the theoretical side to the beauty business, including promoting services and products, and contributing to the financial effectiveness of the business.

Sarah Morley, Claire’s tutor, added: “Claire has been an inspiration.

Last year she was such an outstanding student.

“Her attendance, high grades and superb promotion of the beauty products was excellent.

“Her commitment to her studies and passion for learning is continuing this year and it’s these kind of qualities which we like to recognise and reward our students for.”
