A FAST-FOOD restaurant in Mansfield town centre has lifted a temporary ban on under 18s entering the premises in the evening, unless they were accompanied by an adult.
A poster had been placed in the window of the Westgate McDonald’s saying that due to an increase in anti-social behaviour, they were preventing young people from going there after 5pm.
The poster has since been removed, with a spokesman saying the company did not operate an age-based admission policy and it was a temporary response to unruly teenage behaviour. They continued: “Our priority is to be a good neighbour and to ensure the safety and security of our employees and customers at all times.
“We are a committed member of Mansfield Crime Partnership and in addition to the added security we have already had in place on Friday and Saturday evenings, we are working in partnership with local police, PCSOs and town centre security systems to help eliminate anti-social behaviour in and around our restaurant.”
