Mansfield market is braced for gale force winds tomorrow.
Traders are being told the market might be forced to close if the weather becomes more severe - as predicted by Met Office which issued a yellow weather warning in the East Midlands.
A Mansfield District Council spokeswoman said: “The market is on as usual tomorrow (Saturday) but it is up to stall holders if they want to trade.
“It if it very windy in the morning the decision might be taken to close the market.”
She said there had not been a time that weather had forced the market to close.
“If this is the case then messages will be put out via the council’s social media pages,” she added.
This comes after Retford and Worksop markets have been forced to shut down today and tomorrow due to 40mph winds which lifted stalls off the floor.
