Adam Rack, 23, of Heathfield Way, entered no plea to 12 allegations when he appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court, on Friday.
As well as ten charges of downloading pornography, he has also been charged with sexually assaulting a child under 13, and sexual activity in the presence of a child.
He was remanded to custody until May 11, when he will appear at Nottingham Crown Court.
