Mansfield man Andy walks Miles for Macmillan

Andy Callaghan-Wetton is almost half way to the 500 mile mark of his challenge which he will hit in October.

The Wynndale Primary School teacher tallied up his latest miles at a Miles for Macmillan walk with his family .

He is completing the miles to show his support for cancer sufferers everywhere who deal with the disease every day.

He said: “We have all been affected by cancer in some way, this is why I want to focus on cancer charities.”

The picturesque three-mile walk took place in Clumber Park on 7th September.

But the 34-year-old father still has three more marathons to complete before rounding up his charity challenge on 13th April next year at the London Marathon. With the aim of raising £10,000, Andy is appealing for all the help he can get.

In two week’s time he will run the Robin Hood Marathon on 29th September. He will also be taking on the Keyworth Turkey Trot and the Wilmslow Half Marathon.
