The following cases appeared before Mansfield Magistrates’ Court this week:

Public Order

John Kavanagh (26) of David’s Avenue, Kirkby. Drunk and disorderly in a public place, assault and assault of a police officer. Sent to prison for six weeks for the assault and a further six weeks for assaulting a police officer.

Property Crime

Lee Michael Clowes (29) of the Twitchell, Sutton. Garage burglary and criminal damage to a motor vehicle. Community order made to include supervision and a drugs rehabilitation requirement. Ordered to pay £75 compensation, £85 court costs and £60 victim surcharge.

Anthony Cutts (38) of Beresford Road, Mansfield Woodhouse. Failing to ensure child attended school on a regular basis. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £90 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.

Martin William Harris, of Markham Place, Mansfield. Failing to ensure child attended school on a regular basis. Fined £70 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

Katie Mannix (38) of Park Avenue, Kirkby. Failing to ensure child attended school on a regular basis. Fined £600 and ordered to pay £90 costs and a £60 victim surcharge..

Danielle Tetley, of Layton Avenue, Mansfield. Failing to ensure child attended school on a regular basis. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £90 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.

Tracey Ward (40) of Warnadene Road, Sutton. Failing to ensure child attended school on a regular basis. Fined £70 and ordered to pay £40 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Amanda Esswood (43) of Welbeck Street, Sutton. Failing to ensure child attended school on a regular basis. Conditional discharge for six months. Fined £35 and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.

TV Licensing

Kevin Abbott (42) of The Mount, Forest Town. Using a television without a licence. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £40 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Marie Faulkner (37) of Cherry Avenue, Kirkby. Using a television without a licence. Fined £75 and ordered to pay £120 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Jason Joseph Marshall (45) of Hodgkinson Road, Kirkby. Four counts of contravening an environmental permit, failure to comply with an enforcement notice, and allowing premises to be used without a permit. Fined a total of £10,000 and ordered to pay £8,042.81 in costs and a £120 victim surcharge.

Breaches

Jake Anthony Cullington (20) of Fell wilson Street, Warsop. Breach of a community order imposed by north East Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court. Committed yo a young offenders institute for a total of six weeks.

David Luke James Thompson (23) of Bracken Hill, Mansfield. Failure to comply with a community order made by Mansfield Magistrates’ Court. Committed to prison for 10 weeks.

Mark Ian Jefferson (51) of Brookvale Close, Mansfield. Breach of a suspended sentence imposed by Mansfield Magistrates’ Court. Community order made to include supervision and 60 hours of unpaid work in the community. Ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.

James Ian Bagshaw (24) of Bentinck Street, Mansfield. Breach of a suspended sentence imposed by Mansfield Magistrates’ Court. 12 months supervision to include a three-month curfew.

Drugs

Myron Alexander Arnold (20) of Montague Street, Mansfield. Possession of cannabis with intent to supply. Community order made to include 80 hours of unpaid work in the community. Ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge. Court ordered forfeiture and destruction of drugs.

Motoring

James Alan Davis (23) of Willow Avenue, Kirkby. Failure to provide a specimen of breath and breaching a driving ban. Committed to prison for six weeks, suspended for 12 months. Banned from driving for five years. Ordered to pay £85 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
