The owner of a Mansfield bar says he has closed it down just weeks after applying for planning permission to introduce massage to the venue.

Surjit Kumar owner of Edenblue bar on Stockwell Gate applied to Mansfield District Council on January 21 for mix use from A4 for the purpose of introducing massage to the venue ‘due to demand from our clients (male and female)’.

The application states: “This will provide extra jobs to the area for the long term. Other than marked areas we could expand within the building if this massage service proves to be a success.”

However when the Chad contacted Mr Kumar this morning he said: “I have closed it down and the planning application is no longer relevant - I will be withdrawing the application.”

The Edeblue website is still online describing the venue as a “new UK premier adult facility”. It states:

“With extremely discreet, friendly and professional staff and management, Edenblue aims to be the premier adult facility!!

“You will be met upon arrival and made to feel immediately welcome and at ease . On entry you will be greeted by management then introduced to our stunning professional hostess’ who work independently within the bar area, to help make your visit as relaxing, carefree and perfect as possible.

“Whether relaxing in our lounge bar area with a gorgeous hostess, or utilising one of our private rooms, how you choose to spend the time in our plush surroundings is entirely your choice.”
