Mansfield firefighters called in to tackle moorland fire near Bolton
Mansfield fire crews have joined colleagues from across the region responding to another huge fire which has broken out in the hills around Greater Manchester.
High winds caused a merger of two fires at Winter Hill, near Bolton, and a major incident was declared on Saturday.
Crews worked through the night, and a team from Mansfield joined the operation at around 5am on Sunday morning.

Hide AdThe blaze began on Thursday and has spread to cover an area of about 1.9 square miles.
A 22-year-old man is reported to have been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
Firefighters and Army personnel from all over the country have been tackling a huge blaze on nearby Saddleworth Moor for the last week.
