Organised the Mansfield District Council, children revelled among the face painting, dog obedience training demonstrations and circus workshops that were just some of the many activities on offer.

“It is fantastic that so many families enjoyed a sunny day at the second free summer festival,” coun Phil Shields, portfolio holder for the environment at the council.

“There are plenty of activities for everyone so make sure you put the remaining two dates in your diary for the next two events so you don’t miss out.”

The next summer festival is at King George V Park, Black Scotch Lane, Mansfield, on Thursday from 10am to 3pm.

The dog obedience demonstrations, face painting and circus skills workshop will this time be supported by multi-skills sports, Double Dogs dancing, arts and crafts and mini-beasts.

The final summer festival on Saturday 23th August is at Chesterfield Road Park on Chesterfield Road South.
