Mansfield District Leisure Trust, which manages five local leisure centres on behalf of Mansfield District Council, has been awarded the Investors in People Standard.
The Trust employs 175 employees across the five centres - the Rebecca Adlington Swimming Centre, Oak Tree Leisure Centre, Water Meadows Fitness and Swimming Centre, Meden Sports Centre and River Maun Recreation Centre.
It has implemented a wide-ranging training and development programme to support employees in achieving National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in disciplines including leisure management, gym instruction, swimming teaching qualification, life guarding qualifications and customer service.
Brian Taylor, Chair of Mansfield District Leisure Trust, said: “We’re delighted to have received Investors in People accreditation.
This wouldn’t have been achieved without the hard work and dedication of our people throughout the organisation.
“Having a programme to support and develop our people is a key focus of the Trust as we realise that it is through their commitment that the Trust can deliver the high quality service our customers rightly expect when they visit our leisure centres.”
The Trust also has a monthly reward and recognition programme that presents vouchers to employees who have demonstrated exceptional hard work and customer service.
