FORMER Queen Elizabeth School pupil Lauren Siddall says she is ‘honoured’ to be performing at the closing ceremony of the Olympics on Sunday.

The Mansfield dancer, who attends Newgate Lane’s Expressions Academy, made it through two auditions and will be dancing live on national television along with more than 4,000 other performers.

Said Lauren: “In the second audition there was a lot of dancing so I was really shocked to get through. We will be dancing just before they give out all the medals.

“I am really excited about being on TV for the first time.”

Eighteen-year-old Lauren joined Expressions at the age of two and has gone on to all disciplines of dance.

She is currently in the third and final year of a musical theatre course.

“I would love to get into TV and this will look really good on my CV,” said Lauren.

Lauren has one more rehearsal on Sunday morning and then will line up for the final event.

“I am getting nervous now and I will be when I get there in front of all those people,” she said.
