Mansfield couple in line for dream wedding

Liam Boole, 28, and Grace Power, 30, have made it into the final eight couples in the competition held by the Mirror Online.

Both born and bread in Mansfield they need your help to win a wedding and honeymoon of a life time.

Liam, who is a firefighter, and Grace who works in sales and is a freelance illustrator, have been together for eight years.

Since becoming engaged after three years together, the couple battled with infertility issues before they finally conceived in 2015.

Their daughter Marlowe is now 22 months old and they are now expecting a little boy to join the mix in November.

Grace said: “Our main focus is trying to get on the property ladder as we are currently renting.

“We just don’t want to get into debt.

“We aren’t in a position where our family could help us financially as my mum passed away a few years ago.

“We just want a fun day where we can get married and it would be so brilliant as we could all share the same surnames.”

Liam’s proposal didn’t happen as smoothly as he anticipated as the engagement ring he bought for Grace failed to turn up in time for their candle-lit dinner at her favourite restaurant.

But when the ring arrived, he went down on one knee in his grandfather’s back garden one sunny afternoon and Grace says it’s her fondest memory.

Winning the competition could see them win up to £15,000 to pay for a venue, a wedding dress, four bridesmaids dresses and outfits for up to 25 of their guests.

They could also win a luxury honeymoon to Thailand worth £7,000.

The competition is open until Tuesday, August 8, at 7pm.
