Mansfield chocolate thief faces trial in October
A Mansfield woman who stole 28 bars of chocolate from Poundland must wait until October before she is sentenced.
Ella Irene Pickaver, 36, of Shireoaks Court, admitted the theft of £28 worth of chocolate on June 24, when she appeared before magistrates on Wednesday.
Simon Greaves, mitigating, said: “This offence occurred at a time when she was in real financial difficulties. She committed this offence to raise funds for her day-to-day living.”
Sentencing was adjourned until October 17 to tie in with other matters at a trial and Pickaver was released on unconditional bail.
