Mansfield Big Snorers raise more than £20,000 to support town's homeless

More than 120 people slept under the stars in Mansfield on Friday night as they raised around £20,000 support homeless people in the town.

The hardy volunteers were taking part in Frameworks 12th annual Big Snore sleep  out  the second to be held at Mansfield Town FCs One Call Stadium. Participants, who each raised sponsorship money before taking part in the event, were raising money for Frameworks Mansfield Appeal, which funds vital resettlement work with former rough sleepers  helping them into homes of their own. 
The Big Snore has become an incredibly popular challenge from extremely humble beginnings at St Marks church, where it began to raise funds for a single washing machine and a team of only two fundraisers.
