Mansfield Rotary Club is celebrating the 25th year of its courage awards and appealing for former nominees to join the celebration.

A club spokesman said: “To mark the anniversary, the club is trying to contact as many of the previous nominees as possible to invite them – and their parents – to the 25th celebration at Portland College in March.”

Phil Richmond, club president, said: “Those who have attended previous events will know it is always a moving occasion and an inspiration to the young people who are honoured with their participation.

“Last March we once again had a superb group of nominees, proof, if any were needed, that the event continues to go from strength to strength.”

The spokesman said: “It’s amazing that we are about to celebrate our 25th year. We want to make contact with all those who have been nominated over the past 24 years, some of whom will be in the mid 40’s now.

“Sadly, we do know that some have passed away, but perhaps their parents may feel able to attend.”
