THE men of Mansfield and Ashfield have finally got their razors out and ditched their fundraising Movember moustaches.

They joined the millions nationwide in growing moustaches throughout November to raise money and awareness for men’s health.

You sent us a selection of tash-tastic Movember pictures - including work colleagues Martyn Lowe, Callum McNab, Mark Arkley and Paul Bryant who raised £400 - while pictured is Simon Parry proudly showing off his moustache.

Movember has grown to become a huge global movement - inspiring more than 1.1m people to take part, with campaigns not only in Britain but also Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, South Africa and Ireland.

The funds raised in the UK support the number one and two male specific cancers - prostate and testicular cancer.

In 2010, more than 112,000 people took part to raise £11.7m - a figure expected to be topped this year.

The fun fundraiser forms part of a drive to change attitudes and habits relating to men’s health around the world.
