Mansfield and Ashfield charities receive cash boost

SIX local charities which are considered vulnerable to spending cuts will benefit from a new fund set up to promote the Government’s ‘Big Society’.

Former Chad charity North Nottinghamshire Independent Domestic Abuse Services (NNIDAS) will receive £91,454 from the Cabinet Office’s Transition Fund.

Ministers have also announced that Hetty’s in Mansfield will be awarded £80,000, Ashfield Citizens’ Advice Bureau (CAB) £90,000, the Kirkby Trust £92,369, Ollerton CAB £45,000 and Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire, which operates in Sherwood, £121,000.
