ON Thursday more than 100 lots will go under the hammer during Mansfield radio station 103.2’s marathon 11-hour auction to raise funds for the Rainbows Hospice for children and young people.
During 11 hours of broadcasting - from 8am to 7pm - donated lots from local businesses and organisations, together with star items, will be auctioned off live on the radio.
Chad has teamed up with 103.2 to help to raise as much money as possible for the Loughborough-based Rainbows Hospice, which is the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people.
The full list of lots is listed in this week’s Chad, and 103.2 hope that at least 10 lots an hour will collect bids from listeners during the station’s special programme.
The items include star lots such as signed JLS and One Direction T-shirts, together with a flight in a small aircraft and various signed sporting memorabilia. There are also vouchers for meals at local restaurants, tickets to shows, toys, CDs, sporting items and much more.
People can take donations to the radio station during the auction and a store will be running at 103.2 selling items that could not be squeezed into the auction.
And Mansfield Town Football in the Community will be running a car wash in the radio station’s car park.
If you want to donate money to the cause, get in touch with Jo Watts at Mansfield 103.2 on 646666 or email email@example.com .
To make bids on the day call 01623 646666. Winning bids can be paid for with cash or credit/debit cards.
The items could be subject to change.
