Manor Academy students brush up on career skills
The Me2Wrk programme helped the students develop key skills and a clearer understanding of what they need to do when they leave school next year.
The workshop leaders were Dr Faye Taylor, Michelle Powell, Richard Smith and Rhian Lawton, who were assisted by business ambassadors Christina O’Brien, from Babington Business College, Victoria Wallace from Towry LTD and Peter Herniman.

Workshops included learning how to make a good presentation, practicing for interviews, looking at further education and preparing CVs and references.
Alison Whitton, Learning Centre manager at The Manor, said: “It was wonderful to see the students engaging in the workshops and contributing to the sessions. “They’re a fantastic group of young people and I know they’ll put all they’ve learned into practice, whichever post 16 pathway they choose.”
