A 29-year-old Kirkby man who barged and spat on his former lover has pleaded guilty to assault by beating.
Jason Paul Reeves, of Larkfield Avenue, appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court. Prosecuting Rosie Wilde said had been arguing with his former partner and she told him to leave from her Alexander Street home.
He left but came back the day after and was collecting his things, but he was angry. Reeves swore and was threatened her with abusive language.
He then starting hitting the over door with a bike. Ms Wilde said the woman was scared. In court, Reeves said: “I was angry. I shouldn’t have done it and I am sorry.”
District Judge Diane Baker said: “It was a very nasty assault and very demeaning.” He will appear back in court on 19th November for sentencing,
