Man punched during Ollerton road rage attack
A driver has been given 100 hours’ unpaid work after admitting punching a man during a road rage incident on the A614 at Bothamsall, near Ollerton.
Mansfield magistrates were told how Amir Mukhtar (29), of Belchers Lane, Birmingham, was seen by a number of witnesses punching a motorcyclist.
Robert Carr, prosecuting, said the motorcyclist had banged on Mukhtar’s bonnet as his vehicle was so close it brushed his leg as they approached a roundabout.
Mr Carr said the defendant also knocked the bike over, causing £1,000 worth of damage.
Mukhtar was also ordered to pay compensation of £150, a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.
