A YOUNG man who suffered serious injuries during a town centre attack between Christmas and New Year is improving in hospital, police have said.
The 20-year-old was involved in what police described as an ‘altercation’ close to the After Dark nightclub on Leeming Street at around 11.45pm on Saturday, 29th December.
He was taken to hospital where he still remains, although his condition is improving.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and a 39-year-old was later taken in for questioning.
Both were bailed pending further inquires.
