A JUDGE told a Meden Vale man to ‘get a grip’ as he sentenced him to a four-week curfew for going on a rampage with a piece of wood.

Gary Pearson (41), of Perelthorpe Avenue, admitted causing criminal damage to a council house on the same street on 4th April.

Mansfield Magistrates’ Court was told by Debra Bell, defending, how Pearson used a piece of wood from a fire outside.

As he sentenced Pearson District Judge Tim Devas said: “Surely you are mature enough to know you should not go around bashing on doors with a piece of wood.”

As well as the 8pm-7am curfew he was ordered to pay £85 court costs.
