A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a stabbing at a property in Nottinghamshire.
Officers attended an address in Gladstone Street, Worksop, at about 9.50pm yesterday (Monday, June 25).
A 44-year-old man was treated for his injuries at the scene but died shortly afterwards.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "A man was located by officers at an address in Worksop and arrested in connection with the death.
"Detectives are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident."
A shopkeeper at a nearby store who did not want to be identified, said he heard a shout at about 10.20pm that night and an ambulance and police arrived at the scene .
A resident on the street said: "It is awful what has happened. There was a scuffle out in the street, but we never went out side. They are always shouting every night."
Another resident said: "I've lived on here all my life. Nothing surprises me these days. The house where I think it happened has been boarded up for months. People come and go around here and you don't know who they are."

Detective Chief Inspector Hayley Williams said: "Our enquiries are ongoing but we believe this was a targeted attack. We’re not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
