Man charged by police after car overturned outside Mansfield school

A man has been charged charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis after a car overturned outside a Forest Town school.

Layton Stephens, aged 31, of Walnut Tree Crescent, Forest Town, has been charged following the two-vehicle crash on Garibaldi Road on Friday, June 15.
He has been bailed to appear at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on July 4.
Emergency services were called to a collision involving two cars outside The Garibaldi School, just after 2pm.
An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said four paramedics in fast response cars and two double-crewed ambulances were sebt to the scene.

One driver was taken to King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton, for treatment, while the other was treated at the scene and discharged.
The school also confirmed one of its pupils suffered minor injuries in the collision.
