Man charged after more than 1,000 cannabis plants are seized in Forest Town

A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been charged after police seized more than 1,000 cannabis plants in Forest Town.

Officers found the Class B drugs inside a unit at Crown Farm Industrial Estate, in Long Stoop Way, at around 4pm on 24th April.

Tuan Luu, of no fixed address, appeared before Mansfield Magistrates on Friday charged with producing 1,049 cannabis plants.

The plants have the potential for a street value of more than £200,000.

Luu has been remanded in custody and will appear for trial at Nottingham Crown Court on 10th May.

A 16-year-old girl, also arrested on Wednesday, has been released without charge.
