Man attacked after ‘raiders target wrong house’

The 58-year-old man was set upon at his home in Bancroft Lane at around 9pm.

The raiders demanded to know where his money was and searched the house and took a set of keys before fleeing.

Police believe the offenders were mistaken and meant to target a different address. The victim suffered bruising to the body and face.
