Man arrested in Sutton after police chase
A man has been arrested following a police pursuit in Sutton.
Officers were called to Forest Road, Skegby, at around 7pm yesterday (May 17) after receiving a report that a man was trying to kick a door down.
Police attempted to stop a car that had been seen driving away suspiciously but it continued to drive away at speed, subsequently crashing on Dalestorth Road.
The driver was arrested in a nearby garden on suspicion of drug and driving offences as well as possession of an offensive weapon.
The 29-year-old remains in police custody.
