Man arrested on suspicion of murder after woman's body is found in Sutton home

Police cordoned off the property in Ridge Close after the 43-year-old’s body was discovered on Monday morning.

A 44-year-old man, who was being treated in hospital, has now been arrested on suspicion of murder, police confirmed.

Officers said they were not looking for anyone else over the death.

The woman has not yet been formally identified.
