Man arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill after Derbyshire army cadet incident

Officers investigating an alleged threat to an army cadet have arrested a 34-year-old man.

On Saturday morning, an army cadet reported that a man had made a threat towards him while he was standing outside the Co-Op on Strutt Street in Belper.

The suspect had then walked away to a car parked in the store’s car park and was driven away.

Police launched an investigation to find the man.

This afternoon, a man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill. He will be interviewed by detectives during this evening.
