Man arrested in connection with Shirebrook assault

A man who was arrested in connection with an assault in the Market Place in Shirebrook on bank holiday Monday has been charged.

On Wednesday 27th May, Piotr Karasinski, 50, of Main Street in Shirebrook was charged with wounding with intent to do serious grievous bodily harm and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

He appeared before magistrates in Chesterfield yesterday (Thursday 28th May).

The injured man, who is 42-years-old and from Shirebrook, is in a stable condition in the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
