Detectives have arested a man in connection with the death of Halcyon Theuri in Alfreton.
The 21-year-old was found dead in the middle of Wingfield Road on the outskirts of the town shortly before 4am on Monday, August 31.
Believed to be the victim of a hit-and-run, officers have arrested a second suspect and seized a taxi as part of the case.
Derbyshire Police said the 60-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, questioned and released on bail while the inquiry continues.
A spokesperson said: “A taxi has been seized as part of the investigation and the vehicle is being examined.”
A second man, aged 51, who was arrested on the day of Halcyon’s death, remains on bail.
