Man arrested after elderly woman robbed in Kirkby

Officers received a report that a man stole an 80-year-old woman's car as she left the Co-op in Chapel Street at around 7.35am on Saturday.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

He remains in police custody.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "The woman didn't suffer any serious injuries but was left very shaken by her ordeal."
