A Mansfield Woodhouse makeup artist has made it through to the next round of a competition to find the best of the best.

Emily Clayton, who goes by the name Vanity Venom, has made it through to the top 20 in the
I Am Freedom makeup awards, which is decided by public votes.

She now has two weeks to film her next video before voting starts on Friday, August 5.

Emily said: “This competition relies on public votes to get me through to the next rounds.

“ If I’m lucky enough to make it to the final I’ll win £1,000 regardless, but if I win I’ll receive a huge prize of £20,000, a year’s supply of makeup and the opportunity to be the brand ambassador and work closely with the company for a year.”

Emily has already won awards for her work when she won the title as the UK ambassador for NYX makeup.

She impressed at the NYX UK Face Awards with her vibrant work.

Emily, aged 25, is a self-taught makeup artist and won the prestigious award – the makeup industry’s equivalent of The X Factor – in August 2015.

To see the entries, log onto – voting closes on Sunday, August 14.
