Macmillan Cyclathon

GLAPWELL folk can do their bit for Macmillan Cancer Support over the Easter Weekend by visiting the village’s Young Vanish pub where nine nutty people are cycling 2012 miles on exercise bikes.

The kind-hearted spinners are cycling the equivalent of 223 miles each over three days to raise money for the charity.

Said organiser Phil Meadley: “It is like each of us cycling from here to Skegness each day which is no mean feat considering none of us are professional cyclists.”

The cyclists start on Good Friday at 12 noon and there will be buckets and collection tins at the pub for people to donate.
