Two lanes of the M1 have reopened after a multi-vehicle collision on the southbound carriageway this afternoon (July 8).

But two further lanes remain closed due to the accident between Junction 30 A616 and Junction 29A Markham Road.
Traffic was held up for two-miles whilst emergency services helped get the vehicles on to the hard shoulder. Motorists should avoid the area near Barlborough if possible.
