M1 chaos after three-car crash
There is severe disruption on the M1 this afternoon after an incident involving three cars.
The Northbound motorway between junctions 29a (Markham Vale) and junction 30 is disrupted with cars blocking the fast lane after a collision, said Derbyshire police.
A spokesperson said: "We were called at 3.56pm to reports of an incident on the M1 involving three cars - a Mercedes, a Vauxhall and a Volkswagen. There are no injuries reported so far."
Severe traffic affects Chesterfield, Mansfield and journeys to Sheffield.
Police are on the scene.
