Loyal customer has a gift from garage

Getting your car repaired can be an expensive task '“ but 95-year-old Bill Vardy has shown why garage loyalty is priceless.

Bill has been using Park Garage, Rose Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse, for more than 20 years.

And to recognise his dedication staff at the site decided to offer him a free repair when he needed it most.

When Mr Vardy took his car in to repair his anti-lock break system, managers and brothers Craig and Liam Henrahan thought it was only fitting he deserved looking after following two decades of loyalty to the garage.

Craig said: “He has been coming into the garage for decades and we thought it was time to pay him back for this.

“At 95, we wanted to show that we will care for him and look after him – he has definitely had his fair share of car repairs in the past.

“We have only been running the site for a little while, but we know from the previous owners that he has been a regular and he deserves something back for that.

“It wasn’t an expensive job and so we thought why not do it for free to show we recognise loyalty and can look after people as a company. It is nice to be nice.

“Keep on driving Mr Vardy, we look forward to your next visit.”

Craig said Mr Vardy was appreciative of the gesture and will ensure he continues using the garage – thanking Craig and Liam for their generosity after all his years at Park Garage.
