A lorry carrying 28 tonnes of limestone fine caught fire in Nottinghamshie on Friday.
Firefighters from Worksop and Harworth were called to the hard shoulder of the A1 northbound near Blyth Services close to 3pm.
Crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.
