Long Eaton man who died in A52 crash is named

A Long Eaton man who died in a crash on the A52 at the weekend has been named.

Gary Gladstone, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene just after midnight, in the early hours of Saturday morning, March 5.

He had been driving a dark-coloured Audi A6 car which collided with a dark-coloured Volkswagen Beetle. Two people in that car - a man and woman in their 20s - were seriously injured.

The incident happened on the Nottingham-bound carriageway of the A52 Brian Clough Way, near to the junction 25 exit for Risley, leading to the closure of the road.

It is believed that one vehicle was travelling in the wrong direction.
