From 10am this morning (June 7) the Business, Innovation & Skills select committee receives evidence on working practices at the Sports Direct central distribution centre in Shirebrook.

The company came under fire after a major investigation discovered possible discrepancies in low wages, and follows numerous allegations that workers toil under 'Dickensian' practices.

The running order is as follows:

Witnesses: Steve Turner, Assistant General Secretary, and Luke Primarolo, Regional Officer, Unite Union

Witnesses: Chris Birkby, Managing Director, Jennifer Hardy, Finance Director, Transline, and Andy Sweeney, Chief Executive Officer, Best Connection Group Ltd

Witnesses: Mike Ashley, Executive Deputy Chairman, Sports Direct International
