Line-up for this year’s Ashfield Festival revealed

The event, which is organised by Ashfield District Council, will take place on 6th July and visitors are promised a host of live music, family entertainment and sport.

Vicky Jackson will be performing as Jessie J and the renowned Coldplay tribute band Coolplay will finish the festival on the Idlewells Music Bowl stage at 6pm.

The Idlewells Music Bowl, will also showcase local and international talent while at the Village Green people will be able to see Titan the Robot and the Vander Bros Double Space Wheel.

For those in search of something energetic, the Everyone Active Square will give people the chance to skate on an artificial rink and try out boxing, sword fighting and cheerleading.

At the Active Ashfield Village there will be games such as It’s a Knockout, Sure Start Mini Games, ladies rugby, skating competitions and slacklining on the adiZone.

People will also be able to take a stroll along Business Boulevard to browse different stalls including the revamped craft tent.

As in previous years, there will be a food court along with the ever-popular funfair.

The Active Ashfield Games and Ashfield’s Got Talent winners will also be taking centre stage at the festival for the medals ceremony.
