'˜Lifeline' community bus torched by Kirkby arsonists

Police are investigating after a community bus was set on fire twice in Kirkby in Ashfield.

The ‘Our Centre’ vehicle was used to take vulnerable, disabled and elderly people to hospital appointments, community events and on holidays and is said to be a ‘lifeline’ to the community of Ashfield and Mansfield.

The arson attack took place at around 12.30pm on Ashwood Avenue on Wednesday 12 October whilst the driver was having lunch.

It was then set alight again at around 11.30pm the following evening whilst it was waiting to be recovered by the insurers.
