Leyla chosen to dance in Derby panto

This Christmas will be one to remember for Kirkby dancer 10-year-old Leyla Yildirim.

The Christine March School of Dance pupil, will be dancing in Jack and the Bean stalk at the Assembly Rooms in Derby over the festive holidays. Dancing in the red team, the role comes after being placed at a number of dance competitions this year including the AAD Dance Scholarships.

Caroline Flowers, principal of the school, said: “This is going to make her Christmas one to remember. She is looking forward to starting the rehearsals in November. It makes me very proud to have such an outstanding pupil at the school.”
