LETTER: Heaven-sent chance for town and area

With regards to a recent Chad containing the article '˜Fracking, What Everyone Should Know.'

Myself, I feel Mansfield has lost it raison d’etre through the closure and shut down of the pits and the loss of its coal-mining industry and the add-on loss of its supplies.
I feel it having been in the cable industry, supplying the coal-mining industry.
Fracking for shale gas is a Heaven-sent opportunity for Mansfield and surrounding districts.
One of the reason is, Mansfield and district has large shale gas quantities and this is easier to frack.
Also, it will lead to a re-birth of its industrial and technological heritage.
And finally it will be the birth of a new technological creation of highly skilled and professional vacancies.
Witness the Mansfield Vision University Centre, the skilled and professional staff are there in place.

A 10-to-20-mile radius of Mansfield contains people who are already highly skilled.
So, I say again, it will be most advantageous to Mansfield to frack. I say, get fracking, the sooner the better.
It is all there Mansfield, so thanks Chad and Tom Pickering, operational manager at Ineos.
