LETTER: Come on Chesterfield, let's finish season with attack in mind

I appreciate its difficult for Danny Wilson (Chesterfield FC manager) to create a united squad of players in such a short management period.

.

What we have witnessed over the last few weeks has shown negative progress and players showing negative body language.

Under previous management teams the players were always aware of their individual roles and the overall team play. What we see now are weekly formation changes, positional changes, lack of attacking ambition and midfield indifference.

It is frustration watching players with flow being restrained (or sent out on loan) whilst some regular players with low percentage work rates, low passing success and lack of attacking ambition retain their positions.

Let’s see the end of the over complicated match-day team formations, leave them for the training ground.

So I ask the manager to finish the season with a more positive attacking midfield to support two interlinking strikers and show the fans a united front whatever the consequences.
