LETTER: College salon is wonderful

I am a regular client and always appreciate the outstanding facilities on Derby Road. I was surprised to be collected from the waiting area by two lovely, smart girls who introduced themselves and shook my hand.

From then on I felt as though I was being attended to in an exclusive up-market salon. The girls were from Finland and were half way through a six-week placement with the college.

Their English was excellent and their wish to please and do a good job was palpable, they were a credit to their families. This may be a regular initiative by the college, but I have never come across it before so wish to congratulate them on promoting such a wonderful experience for these students – and their clients.
