Schools from across the Mansfield and Ashfield area took part in the two-kilometre run, cheered on by teachers, parents and friends.

It was part of the GO Run For Fun initiative, run by manufacturing company INEOS, that encourages youngsters to get off the couch, give the TV and their mobiles a rest and get active. INEOS has given a £1.5 million donation over three years to organise runs not only in the UK but also across the USA and Europe.
