Latest cases heard at Mansfield Magistrates Court

DRUGS

Christopher Burton, 47, of Mapletoft Avenue, Mansfield Woodhouse, had in possession a quantity of cannabis on one occasion and cocaine on another. He was fined a total of £300 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £30 and costs of £85.

Dale Dixon, 26, of Reindeer Street, Mansfield, had in his possession a quantity of cannabis, a controlled drug, with intent to supply. A community order was made with 180 hours of unpaid work experience. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and a surcharge of £85.

BREACH

Owen Gamlin, 19, of Pembleton Drive, Mansfield, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with supervision requirements following a release from prison. He was committed to prison for five days.

MOTORING

Stephen Reddington, 21, of Walesby Lane, Ollerton, admitted driving a motor vehicle on Quaker Way, Mansfield, with 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the limit is 35. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £250 with £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Robert Walters, 49, of Greenwood Avenue, Huthwaite, admitted driving a motor vehicle with 127 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the limit is 35. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £250 with £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Jason Vardy, 23, of Ethelbert Avenue, Kirkby, drove a mechanically propelled vehicle in Annesley Woodhouse without due care and attention. He was fined £169 with costs of £85 and a £30 surcharge.

Marcin Adamczyk, 39, of Millrise Road, Mansfield, drove a motor vehicle on the A6191 Southwell Road at a speed of 45 miles per hour when the speed limit was 30. He was fined £261, with a surcharge of £30 and £85 costs. He was also issued with five points on his driving licence.

Lee Clarey, 46, of Main Bright Walk, Mansfield Woodhouse, used a motor vehicle on Yorke Street, Mansfield Woodhouse, without a valid policy of insurance. He was fined £120 with costs of £85 and a surcharge of £30. He was also disqualified from driving for six months.

VIOLENCE

James Ward, 33, of Elder Street, Sutton, without good reason or authority had in his possession a throwing knife while in Carsic Road, Sutton. He was committed to four months in prison, and ordered to pay a surcharge of £115.

Jennifer Pykett, 25, of Newark Way, Mansfield, assaulted Christine Cross by beating her. She was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay costs of £300 with a surcharge of £20.

Kirsty Godson, 46, of Westfield Lane, Mansfield, dama Fiat Dobolo van to the value of £250 with intent to destroy. She was committed to 14 days in prison because it was a random attack done in anger, aggravated by her criminal record. She was ordered to pay compensation of £250.

MISCELLANEOUS

Lucjan Durakowski, 34, of Heathfield Way, Mansfield, damaged a Ford Transit van to the value of £2058.44, a Fiat 500 to the value of £563.40, a Ford Mondeo to the value of £550 and a Citroen Berlingo to the value of £1594.32. He was discharged conditionally for 18 months and ordered to pay compensation totalling £4,766.16.

Andrew Marshall, 43, of Sandays Close, Nottingham, damaged a Toyota Auris on Nottingham Road, Mansfield, to an unknown value of less than £5,000. He was fined £120 with compensation of £1,150, costs of £85 and a surcharge of £30.

Jane Lillyman, 50, of Thoresby Crescent, Sutton, was in charge of a Staffordshire bull terrier which was out of control in Silverhill Lane, Teversal, injuring a woman. She was warned to ensure the dog is controlled by somebody 16 or over and fitted with a muzzle at all times, or it will be destroyed. She was also find £180 with compensation of £700 and costs of £30.

Donna Abbott, 45, of Wilson House, Sutton, committed fraud by dishonestly making withdrawals from somebody else’s bank account intending to make £1,860 of personal gain. Committed to prison for four months suspended for 12 months. She was fined £1,860, with a surcharge of £115.

THEFT

Mark Fottles, 51, of no fixed address, stole Budweiser beer to the value of £3, a brownie to the value of £1 and Primal bars to an unknown value, all from Huthwaite Service Station. He was ordered to pay a total of £14.50 in compensation and conditionally discharged for 12 months.

Scott Harris, 24, of Willoughby Court, Mansfield, admitted stealing one pack of meat to the value of £5 from the Co-op store, Southwell Road West. He was fined £80 with £5 in compensation, £85 costs and £30 surcharge.

Simon Ward, 44, of Dundee Drive, Mansfield Woodhouse, stole cosmetics to the value of £378.25 belonging to Boots PLC. He was fined £80, with a surcharge of £30 and costs of £85.

Richard Minett, 30, of Layton Burroughs, Mansfield, stole eleven Yankee Candles from Boots, Mansfield, to the value of £353.88. He was fined £80 with compensation of £71.97 and a £30 surcharge.

Hayden Rivers, 29, of Market Street, Sutton, stole two bottles of Jack Daniels Whisket to the value of £56, belonging to Co-op on Alfreton Road, Sutton. He was fined £60 with compensation of £56, costs of £85 and a £30 surcharge.

Mark Winfield, 37, of Teversal Avenue, Pleasley, stole a Playstation and an Xbox, to value unknown, from Aandrew Anderson. He was committed to prison for 28 days and ordered to pay a £115 surcharge.

David Bagley, 47, of King Street, Mansfield, stole £47 worth of Ambi Pur air freshener from Tesco, Blidworth, £36 worth of decorative lanterns from Wilkinsons, Mansfield, fragrance sets to the value of £456 from Boots, Mansfield, and attempted to steal a number of items from Marks and Spencer, Mansfield. He was committed to prison for eight weeks, and ordered to pay a surcharge of £115.
